Services

This section provides information on our services.

  • Foremost among our services is our Journal. The journal is our prime means for contacting members. It is published quarterly and is mailed to all members, local and overseas. Notice of the AGM, minutes of the AGM, and necessary passwords to access the website's Members Area are all to be found here.

  • To help find articles in the collection of Journals, particularly if you want to search by surname, aricle keyword, or author, a Journal Search facility is also provided.

  • The society takes books for sale to the family history fairs that we attend, and we also bring books to every other members' meeting. We also sell logo'd society jumpers. Details are provided on the Items for sale page.

  • The Library is an important collection of items acquired during the 40 years of the society's history. If you want to know what is in the library then visit the Library Catalogue page where a comprehensive search facility is provided.

  • A further service to our members is to make available a considerable stock of unwanted birth, marriage and death certificates at a much reduced price compared to ordering new. A simple search based on surname is used to see what certificates we have.

Next Meeting

Please note that we have now cancelled the AGM on 18th March, and also the April and May Members meetings. The June meeting is still on, and we now plan to hold our short AGM at this meeting, after the talk by Meryl Catty titled Our Newspaper Heritage.

Next Fair

Our attendance at fairs is severely impacted by the coronavirus situation. The next fair still on schedule is not until September.

Next Advice Session

Our next Advice Session will be held at Feltham Library on Saturday 16th May from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, provided the library is open. These sessions need to be booked. See the Advice page.
