The Parish Registers Project

The aim of this project is to transcribe any parish registers for our area that are not already available online. The bulk of parish registers, especially for the ancient Church of England parishes, certainly are available online as can be seen from our Parish Information page. If you think you know of parish registers that are not yet online, and could be transcribed, do please let the Projects Co-ordinator know.

As of November 2021 we are starting a project to transcribe the baptisms, marriages and burials of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Fulham, which is a Roman Catholic church, and we are looking for volunteers to help do this. The registers are all held at the church where they will be photographed so that the photo'd pages can be distributed out to volunteer transcribers. If you are interested in joining this activity then please contact the Projects Co-ordinator.
