Research information on West Middlesex parishes

This page provides a summary of all the main sources of information on our ancient parishes. If you are not sure whether the place of interest to you is in West Middlesex, please consult the Gazetteer for the Greater London area.

For parish records:
     C = Christening
     CI = Christening with PR images available
     M = Marriages
     MI = Marriages with PR images available
     B = Burials
     BI = Burials with PR images available

Two very important links are included in the detail for each parish. The Link to FamilySearch Wiki is recommended as their pages provide direct links to the actual datasets which contain the parish records for Ancestry and Find My Past, the particular batch in the case of FamilySearch, and also direct links to sites such as The Genealogist, Family Relatives, the Internet Archive, Ancestors at Rest, and Joiner.

The link to GENUKI is also recommended as they provide excellent information on all churches in the area, whether C of E chapels of ease, Roman Catholic or nonconformist.

Both FamilySearch Wiki and GENUKI also provide a link to the English Jurisdictions of 1851 set of maps. These maps are very detailed and enable you to see exactly where the parish boundaries are, and much more besides.

If you find any information on the parishes is incorrect, we shall be very pleased to correct it. Please contact the Webmaster.
