Parish Histories Project

Cover of Volume 1: Hampton

In 2004 members of the Society suggested that we should be able to produce useful histories for each of the 36 parishes that make up our area. The project started well with histories being produced for Hampton in 2004, Harlington, Harmondsworth and Stanwell in 2005, and Hayes in 2006, but then the project stalled.

If you have expertise on a particular parish and would like to contribute to the West Middlesex Parishes series, please email the or write to:

Mrs Bridget Purr 8 Sandleford Lane, Greenham, Thatcham, Berks RG19 8XW

Some guidance notes for aspiring authors are included here.

We still have supplies of the booklets for Hampton and Hayes. If you are interested in purchasing either, please see the Books and CD publications page for further information.
