General indexes to records for West Middlesex

These indexes are intended as aids to research in the West Middlesex area. For members of the Society, the fees are as stated (please quote your membership number); for non-members, they are twice what is indicated below, except where specified. Please note that, in all cases, enquirers must include a SAE. Unless stated otherwise, cheques should be made payable to the holder of the index, not the WMFHS.

West Middlesex Marriage Index

Contains only marriages which took place before civil registration began (July 1837). There are about 86,000 entries, mainly from West Middlesex. The Index is best accessed on-line at FindMyPast. Alternatively, postal searches may be requested (no telephone/email requests). The charges are:

  • List indicating coverage - SAE (min 220 x 110 mm) plus a second class stamp.
  • A search for one specific marriage - SAE plus £1 (non-members £2).
  • Up to 20 entries of one surname - £2 (non-members £4).

Cheques should be made payable to WMFHS, in Sterling only. Name variants required need to be listed by the enquirer. Please give name(s), approximate dates, and parish or area if known. Include your membership number.
