General indexes held by members

These indexes are intended as aids to research in the West Middlesex area. For members of the Society, the lookups are free (membership number must be quoted); for non-members there is a fixed fee of £5 per enquiry. Please note that, in all cases, enquirers must include a SAE. Unless stated otherwise, cheques should be made payable to the holder of the index, rather than to WMFHS.

  • West Middlesex Marriage Index: Marriages which took place in West Middlesex before civil registration began (July 1837). About 86,000 entries.

Society news

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 15th March 2018 at St. John's Centre, Isleworth. Doors open at 7:15 pm. The meeting will start with the Society AGM. This will be followed by a talk by Jef Page titled London in the 1880s: hard work, poverty & street life.

Next Advice Session

Our next Advice Session will be held at Feltham Library on Saturday 17th February from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.


We have had our last meeting at Montague Hall, and all meetings henceforth will be at St. John's Centre, Isleworth. Do meet with us there.
