How to join the Society

Enquiries about membership should be directed to the Membership Secretary:

Mrs Pat Candler, 57 The Vale, Feltham, Middlesex TW14 0JZ

Applications may be by post or online, as detailed below.

If applying by post then print off the Application Form, complete it, including your cheque, and mail to the Membership Secretary as above. The Application Form is designed to be printed in Landscape, and for duplex printers with the flip page option set to Short Edge.

If applying online, and you have Microsoft Word on your computer, then use the editable copy of the Online Application Form, complete it as required, make your payment by online banking as directed in the application form, and email the form as an attachment to the Membership Secretary. The form will open Read Only, but you will be able to use View/Edit or equivalent to edit it.

You may also join us online without using the Online Application Form, if you purchase membership of the Society directly from Parish Chest. The membership secretary will then send you a copy of the Online Application Form to complete the information that the Society needs from you.

The subscription for Individual, Family, Overseas and Corporate Membership is a uniform £15.00 and the subscription year runs from 1 January to 31 December. New members who join the Society after 1st October will receive membership to the end of the following year.

For those who pay UK Income Tax the Society can reclaim Basic Rate tax on your subscription if you complete a Gift Aid declaration. This provides a valuable additional source of income for the Society at no additional cost to the individual (see application form for further details).

Surname Interests may be registered/amended at any time. You may do this online by using the email link provided on the Surnames Interests page, or you can complete the Surname Interests form and mail it to the Journal Editor.
