17-Mar-2016 The AGM - also talk by Andrea Cameron on 'Osterley House and its Families'. Robin and Bridget Purr are appointed Joint Presidents of the Society. Muriel Sprott, Paul and Janice Kershaw are awarded Honorary Membership of the Society.
12-Mar-2016 Brian Page, Roland Bostock and Margaret Cunnew ran our stall at Dorset Family History Society Family History Day at Poole, Dorset (first time for this fair).
5-Mar-2016 Kirsty collects 48 maps of London, ranging 17th century to 19th century, from Colin McDonald, who generously gifted them to the Society.
18-Feb-2016 Members' meeting - talk by Chris and Judy Rouse on 'Mayhem on the Midland, an Accdent, a Suicide and a Murder'.
21-Jan-2016 Members' meeting - talk by Caroline Walker on 'Maps, Memorials and Murals'.

17-Dec-2015 Christmas Social - Kirsty Gray runs a quiz night.
19-Nov-2015 Members' meeting - talk by Chris Hern on 'Sabotage, Security and Sheer Stupidity.
31-Oct-2015 We attend West Surrey Family History Fair in Woking.
15-Oct-2015 Extraordinary General Meeting to vote on the proposal to wind up the Society, followed by a talk by Kirsty Gray on 'Tracing the History of a Community'. Kirsty offers to take on role of Chairman, Brian Page offers to take on role of Vice-Chairman, Roland Bostock offers to take on role of Secretary. Also five members volunteer to fill vacancies on the committee. The Society is back on its feet after a difficult six months.

The Notice Board was last updated on 29th March 2024.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting is on Thursday 16th January 2025. The focus of the meeting will be a talk by Ian Porter titled The Real Downton Abbey. Ian will be speaking on Zoom. Members may be remote or at St. John's.

Next Fair

Our next family history fair is the East Surrey Virtual Family History Fair on Saturday 25th January.
