Brick Walls Giz Marriner, Roland Bostock
Continuing the theme of describing solutions to our own brick walls:
Giz Marriner writes about finding Alfred Moulsdale in the 1921 census, indexed as
Macdonald. Roland writes of having to ceate three brickwalls in his ancestral tree
even after it was all approved by the College of Heralds.

Mapping Linkfield Road - Ann Greene
Ann describes the work that went into identifying where particular addresses were in
Linkfield Road in Isleworth. All part of the Isleworth 390 project, as no less than 21
of the deceased soldiers had addresses there when joining the war effort for WW1.

Finding Dot Simpson - Yvonne Masson
Yvonne goes in search of a lady called Dot Simpson that she had visited with her mother, when
Yvonne was between 8 and 12. It's quite a challenge, but Yvonne finds her lady, and how she
and her mother knew each other.

The Longford River - Wendy Tibbitts
As Wendy explains, the Longford River is really a canal, cut by a king, and now owned by a king.
It was originally dug in 1638 to improve the flow of water to the Hampton Court fountains.
There is much more to find out.

This one belongs in the 'Brick Wall' series, and in this case Margaret is hunting for a
lady called Ellen Bentley, or was it Bunkley or Benkly. The case is unsolved. Maybe you can
give Margaret a hand.

Recording MI Inscriptions in 1980 Sarah Minney
Sarah started recording MIs for the Society in the early 1980s.
Here she recalls a churchyard memorial to Henry Edward Pegg, and a church memorial to John
Horne Tooke, both at St. Mary's Ealing. She discovers who these people were.

Medal collector, Sarah Minney, describes her search for the owners of a set of WW2 medals
she recently acquired. These did not come with any name associated with them, just an address
to work from.

Tales my Granny told Me - Muriel Sprott
Muriel recalls some of her Granny's sayings. When Muriel was young and asked Granny how old she was,
Granny would reply "As old as my tongue and older than my teeth". That must have kept Muriel guessing.

Mystery Photographs - Emma Albery
A classic story by Emma, which started in 2018 when she was given a box of photographs
which had belonged to her nan. Each photo was of a different crashed small early aircraft.
Emma tracks down two, with the third still presenting a challenge to her.
